PCI is a cmpany that focuses on real estate. When they approached me for a logo, they knew exactly what it was that they wanted. They are all graduates of Brown University and needed their identity to reflect their roots, so they had the idea to base the design off of Brown's current logo. I suggested changing the book icons to something else representative of their business so that it would fit alongside the Brown logo without mimicing it too closely. We ended up going with four traditional heraldic symbols: a book, quill and ink, oil lamp, and crossed keys paired with Archer, a lovely modern slab.
