The photographs in Proof delineate the physical differences between my brother and I. Proof speaks to the early tradition of the first photographs captured of African Americans by Louis Agassiz. This book acts as “proof” of the stark differences between our bodies, and to some extent our personality. This book is “proof” and a testament to my influences and experiences of the past and present, how they physically comprise me as a twin and a black individual.
