Product - Conceptual Designs for SEARS CRAFTSMAN Canada SEARS Craftsman brand toolboxes have been a leader in this product category for decades. They wanted to something new and innovative that would capture a more modern design. I worked out the overall design concepts as well as the inner compartmental workings and illustration art and had a rendering artist create the 3D eye candy visuals. Craftsman Rolling Tool Chest + Cabinet Work Centre

Inspired by and geared towards the current redesigns coming out of Detroit,particularly that of the latest muscle car edition of the Chevy Camaro, thedirection taken on this product was to create the drawer fronts of the chest toreflect the new grill design of the Camaro. High gloss, clear coat finishes intrendy colours make this design shine. Functionality was key - a newrolling too centre that not only makes working on your car or around your homeeasier and with less hassles but but a very cool looking piece of hardwareparked in your garage or out in your driveway for all the guys on your streetto drool over.

The inner workingscombined efficient, easy to remove tool caddies and no space has been leftunused.
Incorporating thepower bar, which is moulded into the vinyl bumper at the bottom front face ofunit, helps to reduce the amount of extension cords need for working onprojects. Adding to the experience of working with this mobile tool centre isthe convenient built-in stereo, featuring AM/FM and digital USBinputs for MP3 players, charging cell phones etc. A handy, adjustable snakelight helps with those smaller, close-up jobs. Power bar availability in thedeep well till cover allows for plenty of space to recharge cordless toolbatteries. It truly is an all-in-one tool power centre.

The 3D conceptualimages were produced by a 3D digital artist, based on sketches, linedrawing concepts and Adobe Illustrator renderings.

The concepts werewell received by the client and many features were utilized into the finalproduct design.
