Why with my blessed life do I feel this way?
I wake up, and eat, and sleep everyday
taking for granted the things that matter
life set like a meal on a silver platter
Everything handed to me to be taken
my gratitude long ago forsaken.
I see now the pain and suffering
my feet shaking and shuffling
I can't stand to see it all
but I would surely fall
If on my shoulders I bore
all the pain and suffering of the losing score.
