Typography poster advertising Futura
The Futura poster is an in-class project for my Typography class; we were asked to pick a Sans Serif typeface and design a poster advertising the particular type. I chose Futura for two reasons: the elongated x-height of this type has always been attractive to me, as well as its association with the Russian Constructivism and Bauhaus - it was inspired by these design movements.
I wanted to showcase both its geometric elegance and the Bauhaus influence in my poster; I chose a very limited colour palette - cyan for its cool, modern feel - and angled the entire design as a tribute to Bauhaus.
