Early in 2010, the University of South Australia Architectural Graduates approached Band to create the event graphics and exhibition book for their end of year show. The title of the event, ‘Point Line Plane’, found its inspiration from Russian painter and art theorist Wassily Kandinsky’s writings, this was also the inspiration for the graphic. Typographically the pages were created to reflect a structured and contemporary look that complimented the modern day architectural principals. The book was printed on an uncoated, textural paper to give a tactile finish and embellished with a gold foil that complimented the contemporary colour palette. The publication was awarded finalist in the 2011 National Desktop Create Awards. Read Less
