Art - 2008:

Below is variety of illustration projects I worked on during 2008. Clients include IIDBO, Barry's Tea, Analogue Magazine and Candy Collective Ireland. I worked into a variety of mediums and the illustrations were produced
in various format like websites, magazines and advertisements.
^ In Summer 2008, I was commissioned by Thinkhouse PR who were working in conjunction with Barry's Tea and the Taste Festivals to promote a variety of teas produced by Barry's. I was given a blank teapot to embleish and customise. The pots would curated into a special exhibition stand at the Taste Festival in Dublin City. My concept was about the sweet moment when you meet that special somebody for a tea. It was inspired by vintage french biscuit tins and advertisements. I embelished the pot with over 300 Swarovski crystals and stickers.
^ In Summer 2008, I was commissioned by Candy Collective for a special exhibition in Monster Truck Gallery, Dublin. Each artist was asked to produce a piece based on their favourite album, mine being 'Under Construction' by Missy Elliott. I created an Anaglyph 3D illustration and set it with watercolour illustrations.
^ In October 2008, I was commissioned by Thinkhouse PR to produce an illustration for 3 Mobile customers
for a Christmas Card to promote the company to business customers.
I drew an anaglyph 3D card which came with a pair of 3D glasses.
^ Scamp.ie Blog : Hallowe'en 2008
A timed sketch for the Irish illustration blog called Scamp.ie
This piece took around 50 minutes and was based on the theme of Hallowe'en and the bleak economic outlook.
^ I was commissioned by my agency NB Illustration to create a cover illustration for a children's book called 'Tag'
It was about a boy who is obsessed with the Olympics and Lomo Photography. I used a mixture of traditional
and digital techniques to create the final illustration.
^ In Spring 2008, I was commissioned to create an editorial illustration for The Financial Times. It was a grayscale image and it was about the value of stamp collecting; the actual piece was based around the famous BT tower in London which was removed from the stamp. I loved working into grayscale, such a huge difference from my crazy coloured stuff.
^ In Autumn 2008, I was asked to produce an illustration for Irish music magazine Analogue. This was the cover illustration
and was about the American band Animal Collective. I drew the initial piece with technical pens and then coloured it digitally.
^ Another illustration for Aalogue magazine, this was used inside the magazine for an editorial feature on  Buraka Sound System.
I used technical pens to draw the piece first, then coloured it digitally on Photoshop CS4.
