"Apam balik" also known as apom balik, is a traditional Malay Nusantara dish, suitable for consumption in the morning and evening is at leisure. It is a type of unleavened wheat cake baked with a thick layer of butter and sprinkled nuts and corn kernel on it and then folded in half. "Apam balik" is delicious while hot.
"Apam balik" is mixed with baking soda and water baker's yeast, cooked on a pot of copper and sweeten with sugar, fried peanuts, margarine and other flavor additive. Roughly, there are two types of unleavened back as follows:
Traditional "apam balik": According to the normal thick of the outer-side
Crisp "apam balik": Refers to a thin outer-sdei and crisp like crackers.
