This multi-family apartment project is located in a northern industrial portion of the San Fernando Valley off Glenoaks Boulevard and was originally named Glenoaks Gardens. The developer, Los Angeles Family Housing, celebrated the Grand Opening of it's first permanent supportive housing development in Fall 2011.
In our first collaboration with architect Gonzalez Goodale, this LEED certified sustainable building surrounds a beautiful, modern courtyard on three sides and features a grove of Palo Verde trees with colorful, bold textured plants and crushed rock. A sloped walk leads tenants to shaded seating and an outdoor grill center. The landscape is composed almost entirely of water conserving plant materials including Palo Verde trees, olive trees, kangaroo paw, rosemary, succulents, and hybrid flax.
This project was the recipient of the 2012 Chairman's Honorable Mention Award from the LA Business Council.
