Painting and Photography Exibition in 2009, towghether with Jacopo Mattia Alegiani, at b>gallery, Rome.
Plasmati is an art and video exhibition but also an experiment: an attempt to better understand our relationship with the television. Plasmati exposes some piece of art but it is not meant to be just an art exhibition. The title, Plasmati (Crafted), is conceived by the belief that we are all crafted, conditioned and corrupted by the television. For good or bad.
The paintings of Jacopo Mattia Alegiani are huge plasma screens; apparently turned-off TV that move with the movement of the spectator thanks to a special painting technique.
The video and photographs of Edoardo Cicchetti are instead created by shooting the TV and reproducing syncopate, accelerated and deformed images.
The final results consists in pieces of art that communicate each other, with the common aim of making people thinking about TV and its hypnotic power.
