Ophelia was initially inspired by the functional aspects of the metal applicator. This sharp/severe connotation led to some intrigue about Victorian and Edwardian medical practices. As a whole this aesthetic serves as a counter to the expected perfume bottle treatment.
The overall form comprises of an old medicine bottle aesthetic encapsulated in a rigid modern block. The material choices (metal, cork, glass) serve to  reinforce the Victorian aesthetic.
The frictional properties of the metal dose the perfect amount of perfume when removed from the vessel.
