An illustration explaining the significance of the Tibetan Mantra 'Om Mani Padme Hum'. It is said to have purifying qualities if each syllable is uttered with true awareness as to their meanings. This purification is shown by the syllable stamping out parts of the shadows representing the six key negative traits in man.
The represented traits, clockwise from top, are: Pride, Jealousy, Lust, Ignorance and Indifference, Possessiveness, and Agression.
Once we can dispell these traits, we are on our way to become happier sentient beings.
