This project was the second of my digital imaging class, one that was for printing with archival pigment ink. It had to be based upon an article that we had been given which covered the scale of which people on the earth consume petroleum and different methods countries around the world are taking to offset climate change. This project tries to illustrate how different parts of our nation have become associated with oil production over everything else that makes that place unique, as though it is and always will be the most important aspect of that location. All of the type is drawn by hand, then scanned into the computer and live traced in Illustrator to give it a more grungy look. Read Less
