Target wanted to launch a collection of lighting designed by Stiffel and Robert Abbey as a test in the New York area. These spread ads ran in the New York Times Magazine to announce the collection. An accompanying direct mail piece (a series of mailable postcards) highlighted the entire collection of table and floor lamps. The combination of ads and direct mail resulted in all of the lamps literally blowing out of the doors. Consequently, the collection was brought to each Target store throughout the US. Read Less
