Not Your Average Grandpa’s Nuts is an extension of the “Nuts Make You a Man” print campaign and shows how the concept would play out as Emerald Nuts’ sponsorship of Movember: a yearly, world-wide event where men grow mustaches during the month of November to raise awareness about prostate cancer.  This digital and social platform asks people to pay tribute to the proud patriarchs of their past by posting pictures and stories of their grandpas on Facebook, with the chance of being chosen for the microsite’s Grandpa Hall of Fame.
 
Why grandpa’s, you ask?
A.) They are at the highest risk of developing prostate cancer.
B.) They rock some pretty awesome mustaches.
 
In focusing on men’s health, we point to the benefits of eating nuts and, to tell this bold story of manliness, we developed an enduring, angry badger ridin’ character, aka the “Original Renegade”.
