Non Parallel was the Queensland College of Art's 2011 Design graduate's exhibition, covering the disciplines of Visual Communication Design, Interior Design & Product Design.APPROACHThe word Non Parallel means slanted or inclined, diverging or converging. For the 2011 graduates it means that we are a unique cohort with innovative ideas to which there are no comparison.

The brand was developed upon the concept of creating a built object to reflect this theme. A wooden sculpture was made consisting of 2M long panels of wood joined together which could lie flat and also open up so that each piece of wood was non parallel to each other. With the object as the center piece, a comprehensive brand was created, featuring a custom made typeface created from the shape of the object and a youthful and dynamic colour palette.

Created at Queensland College of Art and designed in collaboration with Mikayla Pearce & Brad Parker.
