"Life's not all beer and skittles' the origin behind the concept of Ninepins Brewing Company. The phrase means a life of indulgence spent in the pub. Skittles can also be referred to as Ninepis, a game originating from the 17th century played by many in the pub. The brand has strong themes of fun, soical, diversity and indulgence, all of which reflect the common themes in the game and in the pub.
 
Ninepins embodies the turn of the century whilst the modern san serif typeface and composition juxtaposes this and embraces the new. This presents a modern identity with reminiscent factors of the game and the period from which originated.
