Il progetto nasce dall’idea di girare un cortometraggio per l’esame finale del Corso di Documentario e Reportage seguito dal regista durante gli anni della Laurea Magistrale in Cinema. Nel voler creare un discorso narrativo più approfondito, siamo partiti da ricerche, interviste e sopralluoghi, che però ci hanno immediatamente posto il problema della gestione di una mole di informazioni e risorse estremamente ingente. Pertanto, sentendoci in dovere di sfruttarle tutte nel migliore dei modi, ci siamo gettati nel tentativo di accrescere questo lavoro fino ad ottenere un metraggio più ampio (approssimativamente di sessanta minuti), al fine, e nella speranza, di poter rispettare e soddisfare quel bisogno di verità di cui solitamente un documentarista va alla ricerca.
Un altro aspetto della produzione che vorremmo sottolineare riguarda il fatto che le due figure chiave preposte alla creazione stessa del film siano entrambe nate e cresciute nel luogo di cui vorrebbero raccontarvi, ovvero la Bovisa, e che, per questo stesso motivo, ponendosi in bilico tra denuncia e dichiarazione d’amore per la propria terra, potrebbero costituire il giusto punto di vista per indirizzare lo sguardo dello spettatore verso quanto accade in questa periferia.

This project was born from the idea to shoot a short film for the final exam of the Documentary Class, followed by the director during the two-years Master's Degree in Cinema. At first, we started to do some researches, interviews and inspections, wishing to create a detailed narration, but immediately arose the issue to handle a huge amount of information and resources. Therefore, having a duty to use them all in the best way, we are now attempting to improve this work and to obtain a longer footage (approximately sixty minutes), in order to satisfy these need of truth, which is usually what a documentary filmmaker is looking for.
Another feature of this production that I would like to emphasize is that two main creative figures involved are both born and raised in the place they would like to tell you, Bovisa, and for the same reason, standing in the middle of denunciation and declaration of love for their land, they could be the right point of view for whoever wish to understand what is happening into this suburb.
