Newtown Co-design
To what extent canresidents’ relationships with Newtown, inform the design process when designinga visual representation of the suburb?
This project explores how co-design can aid the design process when visually representing place. Co-design workshops were run with Newtown residents throughout the project. They informed key decisions and enabled multiple perspectives to be represented. The interactive wall portrays Newtown’s diversity, engaging residents with the diversity imbuing Newtown with character.

Newtown is a great little suburb in Wellington, New Zealand. It's full of diversity and great people. I would like to thank the Newtown community and the Port Nicholson Block Trust.
