This sculpture was commissioned by the Texas Press Association. There are 10 in the edition. Number 9 was purchased by the Tabor City Tribune in North Carolina, number 8 was purchased by the Tri-City Herald in Kennewick Washington. There are 7 more in the edition. The price of the life-size bronze is $20,000. The newspaper can be customized to reflect your headline in history for an additional $2,000 A small newsboy is also available making a great gift for anyone in the newspaper industry. It is a limited edition of 100. The size of the bronze is approximately 12” tall mounted on a 2” wooden base with brass plaque. The cost of the small bronze newsboy is $1,350. Artist Bridgette Mongeon shares the process behind the mold making, and casting of the life-size bronze newsboys. The artwork was originally created for the Texas Press Association. The life-size sculpture, second in the edition of ten has been created for the Tabor City Tribune and "Billy" the newsboy perpetually hawks their historical headline. The artist searches for eight more historical headlines to be carved in bronze.
