Part graphical user interface, part design proposal, part product design for a series of components and effects boxes for a certain (non-disclosure) company. Ultimately, the design went in a different direction, but here are images from one of my earlier proposals.

As a unit, the main buttons could be pressed as well as rotated, with a non zero-point rotation. The front panel itself was transparent over black, so the buttons could easily serve numerous functions with names being graphically generated. Numerical feedback (such as level) would take over the button name on the physical unit, and in the case of VST, be displayed in the center of the button during adjustments.
