Nascosto was my final work and degree project while at RISD. Translating from Italian to mean "the unseen," this work is an exploration of contemporary lighting that combines anonymous, industrial waste components with delicate hand-blown glass elements. These pieces explore relationships between heavy and light, new and old, and decorative and functional. Some pieces are completely unique and can be created only once, while others could be manufactured using various blowmolding processes. Blown with assistance from Liesl Schubel and Katie Laub.
