I have been daydreaming about a backpacking trip to the west coast, and I was able to channel some of that into this illustration for the NY TImes last week. This was the section cover for a special on Continuing Education, for a story about the obstacles some students face when trying to pay for non-accredited universities and trade schools. I had a lot of fun thinking about this little environment. I might have to spend some more time there poking around. Thanks to Rodrigo Honeywell for the great assignment!
