The Challenge I gave myself for my thesis project at ITP (Interactive Telecommunications Program), was to create wearable artifacts with the constraint of using materials in constant flux & the implications of care for such objects.
The following jewelry rings are concepts for “living” jewelry. Each prototype comes with instructions on how to care, wear and display the jewelry objects.
The first image is the first round of prototypes followed by final prototypes. Some of these prototypes are made of laser cut wood, while others are made of drilled lava rock with moss and various types of air plants.
