Exhibition Designed for Silver City Museum
Published:
This exhibition schematic was designed for Silver City, New Mexico. The exhibition honors the indigenous peoples of the Nde Nation, formerly known as the Apache Indians. The exhibition idea brings together the photographic collection of Silver City Museum with contemporary art created by the youth of the local reservation. The concept looks forward to a bright future while, at the same time, being truthful about the Nation's history and past genocide perpetrated by the US government and pioneer civilians. The timeline of change is signified by a heartbeat represented by the EKG. The sound of a heartbeat is to be implemented as an audio element in a sound mix with traditional drumming.
