With my redesign of Murray State University's website, I wanted to focus on three main things: keep it clean, organized, and simple. For me, better organization leads to easier navigation of a site. I left the background white to give some airiness. The color scheme is taken from the graphic style guide, as well as the rules of logo usage. Everything can now be viewed without having to scroll much, if at all. Basically, I tried to focus on issues that I knew were a problem. For example, I created a combined campus map and building abbreviation page, because more often than not, if a student needs to know the abbreviation, they probably also need to know where the building is located. It just makes more sense than having these as two seperate pages.
