The site is located in “La Rive Gauche” Paris. It is the southern bank of the river Seine in Paris. Here the river flows roughly westward, cutting the city in two: looking downstream, the southern bank is to the left, and the northern bank (or Rive Droite) is to the right. There are many famous Parisian monuments along the Rive Gauche. They are: La tour Eiffel, musée d'Orsay, and so on. The project proposes a multi-functional tower, built by the wall-beam structures. The tower is characterized by its height, by the presence of the concrete, by the variety of functions and the special architectural form. The more evident details are the boxes placed geometrically differently and their cantilevered boxes that jut out from the core. The arrangement of the boxes evokes the two-dimensional images made by van Doesburg and Mondrian. They jut out from tall and slender cores. Read Less
