Over the course of the past semester, I got to jump into the world of sports photography thanks to insidehockey.com and the Hershey Bears hockey team. For the Juniors at Corcoran College of Art and Design, a departmental review is required to show progress and also potential futures. I took the images that I had been drawn to artistically from my game coverage, and focused more on the fine art and almost gracefulness aspects of the sport. Having a background in ballet, I try to capture the more poetic moments of movement and the quieter details that many straightforward sports journalists overlook. I chose these images to show my growing style and hoped that my thinking and inspirations came through in these photographs, and that I can continue to build upon the framework that I've already become so involved in and infatuated with. These were shown to both photojournalism and fine art critics, and the feedback was incredibly positive and really motivated me and got me even more excited for my future. Read Less
