Bringing an element of nature inside...artificiality. Lit to bring our attention to it - there seems to be a dialogue between the large halogen light and the moss itself. So close to each other, you could read the powerful light as keeping the moss at bay, stopping it from taking over the space. Plants need light to survive, yet the halogen light gets hot very quickly, adding an element of danger to the installation.
We experience a tamed version of nature. Moss tends to grow in neglected spaces...what does this suggest about the studio space?
