This exhibit showcases the introduction of Mohawk's redesigned swatchbooks for Superfine and Options. Superfine is heralded as timeless, while Options is revered for its limitless potential. Designing from that perspective, I created a 10' x 5' structure that harnesses these respective qualities. In the spirit of timeless, I wrapped a panel with a basketweave pattern of various shades of Superfine paper. The basketweave patten was chosen for it's ubiquity throughout history. Similarly, I tiled the adjacent panel with various shades of Options to demonstrate its versatility. This random tiling, which has an infinte number of arrangements, reflects the limitlessness of Options. Each of these panels were then mounted with boxes containing images from their respective swatchbooks.
