Model retouching
Photoshop retouching of model photography for retail and eCommerce
This is the latest series of model photo retouching I've done for my current company. I usually work mostly with product photography for the web, but have done a lot of model work for my husband when he was doing photography. I love it, I could do this all day! I credit Lynda.com courses online, particularly Deke McClelland, with getting me up to speed.
Majorca in original brown, after retouching. The original brown colors were disharmonious and were corrected. Also corrected was the shadow darkening her face and of course skin, makeup and hair enhancement.

Majorca in red. Red clothing casts a lot of highlights on skin, so I did enhance the skin around the wrists, chin, chest etc. to reflect the color of the clothing next to it. The effect is extremely subtle, natural and not discernible, but it certainly would have been noticed if I hadn't done it.
Close-up of face, after retouching. What I've learned is that a beautiful model still needs retouching! Photography magnifies insignificant "flaws" we normally wouldn't notice in real life, and no matter how great someone looks, a simple thing like a neck wrinkle or hairline will be distracting to the viewer, and needs to be corrected.
