We made this illustration as an experiment to merge 3D and digital painting. We basically want to make this into a series of locales with all sorts of furry critters in their habitats of which this is the first one.

 

First the 3D environment was modelled and later the critters, additional details and overall mood were painted on top. We wanted to make this immediately ready for print so the actual size is 40x50cm.
