Microsoft Halo 2 Pre-launch campaign was a prelude to the big launch. Because it is is successor, the hype around it has to be driven by primarily the Halo 1 followers. Even before social media actually became a buzzword, I recognized the importance of social behaviour of people in the digital space. The ground works and launch of this campaign became a platform that proved that fact. A remote social platform to generate engagement was created, tapping on the existing Halo 1 followers and reaching out to their friends. What resulted was a whopping increase of more than 1738% in signups, which exceeded the initial projected KPI of 300% by leaps and bounds. This campaign won us SILVER for Best Viral Campaign in DM Asia 2005, which for that year, there was no Gold given for that category. Sweet. Read Less
