Small bar in Western Australia inspired by the Mechnics Institutes of the industrial revolution.
In Australia, Melbourne is the city that's known for its laneway bars and trendy curbside eateries. But with bars like Mechanics Institute (MI) popping up in Northbridge, Perth is soon to claim a few pins on the map.

Mechanics Institutes were the original libraries where unskilled workers could educate themselves in industrial crafts. Fast forward to 2012 and MI is a rooftop bar (due to open in July 2012) that is accessed from a hidden laneway next to the WA state library. A sanctuary to enjoy a quiet drink, hidden from the hustle and bustle of the main road.

Braincells created an industrial logo and suite of branded elements that make reference to the past but also forge an iconic look for the future.
