On monday April 11th I was asked to photograph the benefit diner at restaurant Au Robin des Bois in Montreal. This restaurant has a twist to it: Litterally translated into Robin Hood in english, it's a nonprofit restaurant. Employees are supported by volunteers and all profits from the sale of meals and products are donated to charities working in the community to overcome loneliness, social isolation and poverty.
This was their big night, regular people and comedians/actors from television and theater gathered to help with the benefit diner, transforming themselves into waiters, some of them for the first time. The room was packed, the pressure was high, but it all went really smoothly under the masterful direction of Pierre and Judy, the main brains behind this event.
Thissecond serie is the 'behind the scene' take, from back in the kitchen, where dedicated volunteers helped the chef with the five services diner with meticulous care.
