February 2014 Branding concept for Maurilia, a fictional city in the novel, Invisible Cities. The story of Maurilia explains how the city was once an organic, rural place, which is now completely altered. The hens running lose are now replaced with bus stops, the women with parasols are now replaced with skyscrapers. Although it is the same city, it's character has changed entirely. Branding for Maurilia incorporates elements from the images mentioned in the story. The story of Maurilia displays a strong notion of connection and disconnection, which is used through the brand.
