Malmö Konsthall
Visual Identity
Malmö Konsthall was founded in 1975 and is one of Europes largest exhibition halls for contemporary art. Architect Klas Anshelm has created an exhibition hall with great flexibility, generous space and fantastic light. Only the exterior walls are solid, which makes it possible for Malmö Konsthall to build a new room-setup for every exhibition. The construction materials are light and simple: concrete, glass, wood and aluminium. Klas Anshelm got his inspiration for the construction when visiting the sculptor Constantin Brancusi in his Paris studio. The result is a gallery that is both functional and aesthetic. An exhibition space that presents the artist with endless possibilities.

The solution is a simple typographic system based on the flexibility of the room . A typeface, Creo, is developed to meet the demands of a typeface that works for both print material and signage.
