This is a motion graphics piece I made for my Art History class midterm. The assignment was to choose either a topic, a period of art, a motif, a symbol, an artist, an artist movement, an artwork, a film, the use of concepts (like real and imaginative spaces, the ways of seeing, etc) or something else that was so far a topic in class and then create an original artwork based on that concept. I chose to work around the artist Malevich and the Suprematist movement in the 1910s-1920s. Suprematism focused on basic geometric forms like circles, squares, lines and rectangles. I thought what better way to portray this than in a motion graphics piece. I drew my inspiration from art pieces by Malevich and from this video youtube.com/watch?v=oJrMKpNgJQ0 I used Adobe After Effects CS6 and this project took me about 8 hours. Feedback is always welcomed :) Read Less
