Magis Spun, a study of a rotating chair

Furniture
In this project we had to analyze this peculiar chair, Spun by Magis. After a little time spent becoming familiar with this object, we started to work on it, first taking some photo, then measuring and drawing, until we decided to put up an installation to show the polyethylene needed to create the chair itself.
An exploded view of the chair as it was packed
The peculiarity of this chair is its rotational movement
The booklet we printed
A frontal view of the chair
A frontal view of the chair - for every point of the outline il specified the radius and the height from the ground
We gathered 5400 bottle caps, the amount of polyethylene needed for a Spun
The bottle caps mosaic follows the chair shape with different colours for hilights and shadows
