I am enchanted by skin. The skin of trials, tribulations, joy, life! When feelings or emotions are visible through expressions, gestures, or body language, I am mesmerized. I thrive from catching those glimpses of pure divinity. All too often it seems the unique expression of each individual is hidden, overlooked and labeled; both quickly dismissed and unexplored. I seek to absorb the essence of those willing to share it and translate that beauty in my art. Working in oils, I hope to communicate my experience with each individual who has left me captivated by their story, changed by their courage and delighted by their skin. Read Less

People whose stories have touched my life
I am enchanted by skin. The skin of trials, tribulations, joy, life! When feelings or emotions are visible through expressions, gestures, or body language, I am mesmerized. I thrive from catching those glimpses of pure divinity. All too often it seems the unique expression of each individual is hidden, overlooked and labeled; both quickly dismissed and unexplored. I seek to absorb the essence of those willing to share it and translate that beauty in my art. Working in oils, I hope to communicate my experience with each individual who has left me captivated by their story, changed by their courage and delighted by their skin.
"Misunderstood" (Oil on canvas 72" x 48") : A vibrant woman full of love and laughter, always giving as much of her humor and compliments as she possibly could. A true example of a kind heart.
"Lighthearted" ( Oil on canvas 36" x 72"): This man never went anywhere without his smile. In fact, I don’t believe I can recall any other expression from him. So charismatic and easygoing, this man had a way with people; making them feel right at home. His charm captivated every person he engaged in conversation.
"Joy" (Oil on canvas 48" x 24"): Very matter of fact, this woman had an uncanny way of telling it like it is. Never ceasing to address everybody with such directness, she was one of those people you felt you had known all your life. She was a strong individual with a big heart and always educated everyone in how to have a good laugh. She brought much joy to my life and others.
"Gumption" (Oil on canvas 36" x 72"): This woman was so vibrant and animated; she lit up every room with laughter and pulled out the inner child and lightheartedness of everyone she encountered. A beautiful woman sharing her contagious zest for life brightened my everyday we spent together.
"Endearing" (Oil on canvas 72" x 36"): Considerate and gentle, this woman was very soft spoken yet her words drew you in. Extremely honest and forthcoming, she was always looking for a friend to talk with. This woman was such a delightful soul, good-natured, sweet-tempered and charming, she seemed more like an angel to me than a person.
"Beaming" (Oil on Canvas 72" x 48"): A glimpse into this woman’s heart was her smile. Her distinctive presence urged those around her to bring out their kindness. Her presence alone set a very peaceful mood. It’s as though you felt the purity down to her core just through her smile. I could never help but give her a smile in return.
 "If You Could See What I See" (Oil on Canvas 72" x 48"): A portrait of a courageous, beautiful and creative woman. A talented writer and wonderful friend, my sister, Kimberlee.
"Proper" (Oil on Canvas 48" x 72"): With her British accent and quirky sense of humor, this woman was enchanting. Her lively expressions and dramatic speech was all framed within her well-mannered upbringing. Our conversations kindled my spirit.
"Lucid" (Oil on Canvas 96" x 54"): Seldom speaking without her words carefully considered, this woman had a gentle way about her. Her polite smile encapsulates her kindness. I have always admired her stillness and deep contemplation.
"Remember Being" (Oil on Canvas 36" x 72") These are the soles of a man who has walked the path of boundless creativity. He has left footprints on my heart and it seemed only fitting to paint his feet. He is a remarkable ray of light, illuminating surrounding paths for others to seize.Acknowledging the spark in others, he encourages and inspires me to follow in his footsteps and embark on their own unique journey of inquiry.
