Lotus 7.0 A living wall that 'breaths' light
LOTUS 7.0 is a living wall composed of smart foils that fold open in response to human behavior. Walking by LOTUS, hundreds of aluminum foils unfold themselves in an organic way; generating transparent voids between private and public.
Specifications: 2010-2011. Curved wall of 4 x 2 meters with hundreds of smart foils, lamps, sensors, software and other media. Client: Self-commissioned by Studio Roosegaarde.
Upcoming: LOTUS DOME is a living dome made out of smart foils which fold open in response to human behavior. As a futuristic vision on the Renaissance LOTUS DOME merges elements of architecture and nature into an interactive experience.
