A morning networking group for professionals; including LinkedIn, in-person group meetings and discussions, email blasts, and more. Focusing on business trends within the state, including financial, marketing, government, and more. Future expansion into other states. The design was to evoke a sense that it is a morning-centric meet-up (meeting at local coffee shops/businesses) and cheerful. Client requested the specific microphone and that the initials reflect mid-century call letters on the microphone. Colors were decided to be vivid versus a retro, muted color.
I was very unsure of which one I preferred more.  In the end I directed the client to go with the upper version.
Ministry of Art Education: Milwaukee. Variants of a logo for a class, based on the idea of England's Ministry of Defense stamps used on WWII posters. This was to be placed as a "stamp" on posters that promote education within Milwaukee. ©2009 Scott Carlson/MOAE-Milwaukee
The actual conference logo/identity for the WGBA/Se2 conference. This is to identify key points of the conference (clockwise); Urban Agriculture (orange), Green Building (blue), New Technologies (dark blue), Hydroponics (green). ©2012 Scott Carlson/WGBA.
Final design for the Se2 Conference. Meant to be light, airy, with a very fine text line width without serifs to give it a more clean look. ©WGBA
Redesign of the Wisconsin Green Building Alliance logo to be more adaptable to all situations. Previous designer only saved it as a jpeg, making it look horrible in any situation. ©2012 Scott Carlson/WGBA
Lawrence Airport Industrial Park. Designed with a nod to the Art Deco era, this was a submission for a industrial park that was intended to replace a small, abandoned airport.  Won the coveted award of Runner-Up. ©2010 Scott Carlson
J&J Sausage.  Done as a pro bono job for a good friend's father who was a retired butcher and decided he wanted to make sausages and sausage patties.  Great man and great meat.©2008 J&J Sausage
This was for a start up company for a grass roots idea of revitalizing less fortunate areas of Milwaukee. The owner Andre wanted to focus on increasing property values by having companies, invest, purchase property, build new buildings, and bring jobs to the areas.

They want the colors to stand out and yet not be standard (cookie cutter) with it's colors, but appeal to both large and small companies. They have since settled on green and a darker grey, using a logo type instead of the standard logo, but using the logo for items like guerilla marketing.
