Located at the Braço de Prata Station in Lisbon, thisbuilding was conceived to hold all the railway traffic control systems of thecentral area of Portugal, and has technical and functional characteristics ofgreat complexity, namely concerning the spatial construction of the CommandRoom where the geometrics of the ergonomic relation between the operators andthe monitoring displays as well the articulation of all the infrastructures arecombined as a whole.
The building is structuredaround a central space for the Control Room and the Situation Room, and the GroundFloor is reserved for theentrance, technical and staff facilities. In thesquared body, which goesalong the Command Room over the three floors, stand all the circulation andservice areas as well the administration.
