Liquify - The Pixels Worst Nightmare
This was an ilustration I've made for the 2010 'photoshopcafe.com' design challenge. It was suposed to choose a Photoshop Tool or Effect, and from that 'tool' name, imagine a story and create an ilustration for a DVD case.
I've chosen the 'Liquify' effect, where the Liquify Monster is trying to dissolve all the resilient pixels around him. Unfortunately I don't do ilustrations as much as I wish, so this was very fun to me.

These are some very rough sketches I still have. Above there are two different monsters, I chose to develop the illustration from the second sketch but kept the general concept from the first one.
I often do a vectorial version of every element before I go to photoshop and finalize it. You can see a vectorial ilustration and the Photoshop swirl base, wich I could have worked on it a little more.
