Occupying the largest restaurant unit at the new Westfield Stratford, Las Iguanas boasts 245 covers across 450 square metres. Split across a restaurant, lounge area and bar, the site has fantastic views of the Olympic stadium with a prime position for the 2012 Games. Drawing influence from Brasilia and the era of change, the design took inspiration from 1950s South America and the work of mid-century modernists such as Oscar Niemeyer and Lucio Costa. Using a mix of vibrant handmade tiles and sustainable materials coupled with geometric patterns and curved forms, Martin Brudnizki Design Studio created an atmosphere that is warm and friendly.
