How to Brew a Brand

Rema1000 is one of Norway’s largest supermarket chains. Their ongoing strategy to provide great value at low prices was the motivation for creating their own high quality beer brand. The inspiration for the brand was the traditional Lade Gaard (Lade farm) which the company owns in Trondheim. This and similar farms were allowed to brew their own beer by royal decree and this became the concept behind the Lade Gaard Brygghus brand.

The distinctive long-neck bottles and hand-drawn labels communicate an authentic product with proud brewing traditions. The Lade Gaard beer became one of Rema1000’s fastest growing brands and was successfully launched in Denmark.
