This was a project that had a lot of meaning to me. The project was to create something that was precious to us. I have always been a huge rock history fan, so naturally the story of the Doors front man, Jim Morrison immediately caught my attention. Towards the end of his life, Morrison began to write a lot of dark poetry that dealt with death and individuality. I compiled a small set of these into a “Contract of Death” and re-purposed a Jack Daniels bottle (his favorite liquor) to cater to his life. Contract- Cream textured paper and India ink. Read Less

I have always been a huge rock history fan, so naturally the story of the Doors front man, Jim Morrison immediately caught my attention. Towards the end of his life, Morrison began to write a lot of dark poetry that dealt with death and individuality.
