This book cover was created using classic methods of printing. The surface of a sliced beetroot was used like a stamp to create the basic shape. Moreover, the leaves were dipped into colour and used as a stamp too, creating interesting leaf texture. The idea of the cover is related with the story of the book in which the beetroot has a major place. The language in the book is really cynical and caustic, this is represented with the strong, old fashioned, bold typeface. Additional elements such as wine and grass stains etc relative to the story, were added in the pages and "used" like illustration to introduce a new reading experience. The overall feeling and look of the book is like something new, but also second-handed at the same time.
