D&AD Competition Brief It's Nice That is a publishing platform founded in 2007 by a student at Brighton University. Devised to champion creativity across the art and design world, It's Nice That places emerging practitioners and famous names side-by-side. It's Nice That's audience has developed dramatically over the past few years - reaching everyone from freshers to creative directors. However, students have always been an integral part of the orginisation's DNA, and It's Nice That wanted a new and exciting way to stay engaged with their original audience. Developing a sub-section for the main website, called 'The Sketchbook', would allow design students a one stop place for resources, help and inspiration. With internship listings, exclusive student offers and student-specific design competitions, the site offers a home and a foundation for a successful career in design. Along with the website would be events organised with It's Nice That's large network of creatives, showing off the best student work, offering hands-on workshops to gain new skills and lectures from leading professionals to get an insight into industry. Promoted through the It's Nice That homepage, and a welcome pack given to all new design students in the country, the Sketchbook aims to become the home for fledgling designers and drive traffic through the It's Nice That homepage and magazines.
