INHABITABLE MEMBRANE
Inhabitable Membrane is a playground concept designed during the "Membrane Spaces" studio in the Oslo School of Architecture and Design.
The idea is to create dynamic and playful spaces between layers of membrane by combining different openings with different connection methods. I made a lot of experiment with different ways of connecting two layers of membrane and in the end, I had 8 different connection elements which allow different levels of interaction between layers.
I applied the system I created on a square membrane patch. This is the model for a 3-layer, square playground.
This is an example showing how the system could be applied to a a patch with a different shape.
